Thomas L. Price
President
A Zanesville native, Tom graduated from Zanesville, High School in 1958 holding the office of Class President both his Junior and Senior years. Attending Bowling Green State University, Tom graduated with a BA in Business Administration in 1962. He was an active member in the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honorary Fraternity. Upon graduation, Tom was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army in the Military Police Corp with the 709th MP Battalion, Frankfurt, Germany until June of 1964 when he returned to the family business. Tom is currently active as President of The Shinnick Education Foundation Board. Tom has also served as past President of The Zanesville Rotary Club, Zanesville Goodwill Organization, and Bethesda Hospital Association Board. He also served as a board member of Genesis Health Care System Board, Genesis Finance Committee and Chairman of the Bethesda Care System Board.
Lynnell Hankinson
Vice President
Lynnell is proud to be a Zanesville native, and a graduate of Zanesville High School. Lynnell went to Bowling Green University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree and was active in university life, including a member in Alpha Phi Sorority.
After college, Lynnell joined her grandfather and father as a third-generation member of The Young Insurance Agency. Young Insurance Agency has been serving Zanesville and central Ohio for 100 years; Lynnell has been a part of the Agency for 35 years. Lynnell has been an active Zanesvillian for many years, serving on several local boards including Ohio Girl Scout Council, past Secretary Zanesville Rotary where she earned Young Rotarian of the Year award, Genesis Advisory board and the Goodwill board.
Lynnell lives with her husband Beau on an operating cattle and grain farm near Gratiot where they raised two sons, Elliott and Rex. Both Elliott and Rex are graduates of Rosecrans High School and are charging forward with their lives. Elliott and his wife Jennica are graduates of OSU and are currently working and living their dream in the Big Apple. Rex is a senior pre-med student at WVU with hopes of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon and joining the Air Force.
Lynnell and Beau enjoy traveling, especially to their special place in paradise, Key West. While in Key West they Scuba dive, play pickle ball and enjoy the tropics with neighbors and friends. Lynnell’s deepest dive was to the USS Vandenburg at depth of 110 feet.
Pam Ufholz, CISR
Secretary / Treasurer
Pam Ufholz joined The Young Insurance Agency in February 1996 as a bookkeeper and currently serves as the agency’s Office Manager. A lifelong resident of Muskingum County, she is a graduate of John Glenn High School, Zane State College, where she earned an Associate Degree in Accounting, and Muskingum University, where she completed a B.A. in Accounting and Business Management.
Pam obtained her Property & Casualty Insurance License in 1998 and her Life Insurance License in 2014. She is also a commissioned Notary Public.
She and her husband, Kurt, reside in the Norwich/Zanesville area, where they manage a cow/calf and ewe/lamb farming operation. They have two daughters, Katie and Melissa.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Pam enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Tess Oiler
Customer Service Representative
Tess Oiler has been with The Young Insurance Agency since June of 2023, with two decades in customer service, Tess had the privilege of serving countless families and businesses during life’s most meaningful moments in Muskingum County and neighboring communities. That experience taught her the value of listening, understanding, and delivering with care--- qualities she now brings to her role at The Young Insurance Agency. Tess is married with two daughters and two step children, and she treasures time spent with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, painting, small road trips and swimming pool lounging.
Katie Ufholz
Customer Service Representative
Katie Ufholz joined The Young Insurance Agency in 2025 as an Accounting Clerk/CSR. A lifelong Muskingum County resident, she is a graduate of John Glenn High School and Muskingum University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Katie brings more than a decade of experience in the banking industry, along with a strong background in customer service, financial expertise, and relationship building. She is also a certified Notary Public, allowing her to provide additional support and services to clients. Her experience has equipped her with the skills to assist clients with care, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, getting lost in a good book, and cheering on the Columbus Crew. She currently lives in New Concord with her significant other and their two cats, Kozmo and Bandit. Katie looks forward to serving her community and building lasting relationships through her work at The Young Insurance Agency.
